I have a broad range of interests and enjoy collaborating with agency biologists and other researchers to use genetic tools to manage threatened and endangered species.
Research interests: Dissecting genetic architecture of complex traits in farm animals by analyzing multi-omics data including WGS, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, HiC etc.
Research interests: Development and implementation of CRISPR-based detection methods and DNA metabarcoding for biological monitoring of endangered and invasive species in the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta.
Research interest: Dissect cellular and molecular mechanisms of genetic resistance to virus infection (avian influenza virus and Newcastle disease virus) in poultry using genomic and bioinformatics approaches.
