  • Yanina Bogliotti (ABGG graduate student-Ross lab) presented at the finalists round of the International Embryo Technologies Society Graduate Student Research Competition and received the runner-up award
  • Ricardo Perecin (Visiting Student-Ross lab) received the runner up prize for Best Poster Presentation at the International Embryo Technologies Society
  • Pablo Ross received the first Scientist Early Career Achievement Award from the International Embryo Technologies Society  foundation at the 43rd Annual Conference of IETS held in Austin, TX
  • Colin Kern was awarded Cobb Vantress Inaugural Travel Award at the Plant & Animal Genome Meeting

  • Richard Zinn co-author of “Influence of flake density and tempering on the feeding value of steam-flaked corn for feedlot cattle” in Journal of Applied Animal Research

  • Erica Scott, grad student in Jim Murray’s lab, spoke on “Annotating long non-coding RNA in the horse transcriptome ” at the XXV Plant & Animal Genome Conference, San Diego
  • Frank Mitloehner presented “Understanding the ecological trade-offs in integrated dairy farming systems” at the US Dairy Forage Research Center in Madison, WI and “Environmental foot printing in dairy” at the Dairy Strong conference attended by ~1800, most being dairy producers
  • Welcome James Mushi, a Borlaug LEAP fellow from Tanzania, to Zhou lab
  • Mike Mienaltowski in Texas for the Grayson Jockey Club Research Found grant panel
  • Anna Denicol attended the International Embryo Technologies Society meeting in Texas
