- Juan Medrano & Gonzalo Rincon co-authors on “A clone-free, single molecule map of the domestic cow (Bos taurus) genome” published in BMC Genomics
 - Andrea Schreier’s proposal "Using noninvasive genetics to compare how a California freeway affects gene flow in a disturbance-averse versus a disturbance-tolerant species" will be funded by the National Center for Sustainable Transportation! Graduate student Amanda Coen will be working on this project
 - Russ Hovey & Josie Trott co-authors on "Abnormal Mammary Development in 129:STAT1-Null Mice is Stroma-Dependent" in PLOS ONE
 - Russ Hovey, Josie Trott co-authors on “Neoplastic transformation of porcine mammary epithelial cells in vitro and tumor formation in vivo” in BMC Cancer
 
OUTREACH AND TRAVEL
- ANS hosted the Iwate College group from Japan yesterday: Angela Thresher was in charge of scheduling and escorting the livestock group during their 5 day stay with presentations by Clayton Neumeier & animal facility tours led by Doug Gisi, Mark Rubio, James Moller, Dan Sehnert, Joel Viloria, & Caleb Sehnert
 - Francine Bradley attended the World's Poultry Science Association (WPSA)Board Meeting in Prague, presenting her Treasurer of WPSA reports. At a WPSA event of the European Symposium on Poultry Nutrition, she awarded Travel Grants & met with WPSA Branch officers from around the world
 - Bob Sainz in Seattle as part of a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation roundtable discussion on “Towards a Community of Practice for Livestock Data and Modeling in Agricultural Development”
