- Caitlin Cooper & Jim Murray co-authors of “ The lactoferrin receptor may mediate the reduction of eosinophils in the duodenum of pigs consuming milk containing recombinant human lactoferrin” in BioMetals
- Mike Mienaltowski co-author of “Tendon proper- and peritenon-derived progenitor cells have unique tenogenic properties” in Stem Cell Research & Therapy
- Joel Van E., co-author of “First Documented Spawning and Associated Habitat Conditions for Green Sturgeon in the Feather River, California” in Environmental Biology of Fishes
- Frank Mitloehner awarded $400,000 grant to study “Effects of biotechnologies on air emissions and greenhouse gases from beef production”
OUTREACH AND TRAVEL
- Jim Murray in Brasilia, Brazil attending the 2nd International Workshop for Regulation of Animal Biotechnology, & gave two presentations on the Needs and Opportunities for Animal Biotechnology and an Overview of the Status of Transgenic Animals in the world
- Joy Mench attended International Congress of the International Society of Applied Ethology in Vitoria, Spain, & presented work co-authored with graduate student Giuseppe Vezzoli & postdoc Richard Blatchford
- Frank Mitloehner presented keynote talk at American Chemical Society (ACS) meeting in San Francisco on “Adaptation of Agriculture to a Changing Climate and Urbanization”
- Caleb Sehnert is at Frankfurter school
- Frank Mitloehner in Yangling, China, conducting research & teaching a workshop at North West Agriculture & Forestry University
- Doug Gisi & Lisa Holmes helped with the Mycobacterium bovis & National Tuberculosis Program training session for regulatory veterinarians held at the Dairy/ASTF
- Juan Medrano participated in the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Bi-Annual National Convention in St. Louis, MO as a delegate representing the U.C. Davis PKP Chapter.
