Faculty Advisors
|
Faculty advisors provide in-depth information on particular areas of
study and serve as a contact point between the student and the faculty.
They assist students in selecting a specialization and have full authority
regarding courses taken to fulfill the student's specialization. In
addition, they are responsible for completing degree checks for graduating
students and determining degree certification for the major.
Faculty advisors also discuss research possibilities for students with
other faculty, career opportunities, and in general, act as a mentor for the
student.
Students are assigned to faculty advisors based on their specialization,
interests, and the current workload of the faculty advisor. The selection
of faculty advisors is done by the Master Advisor and the Academic Program
Advisors.
